Spears clapped back, telling the same publication that she couldn’t “believe [Aguilera] said that about me”. The “Womanizer” singer added that Aguilera had tried to kiss her at a club, per Us Weekly.

Later, Aguilera also told Us Weekly: “I know Britney. She’s not trailer trash, but she sure acts that way.” Ouch.

Supporting each other through the years

Despite their apparent differences, it seems like the two ladies have worked things out since.

Things took a negative turn yet again in 2022 when Spears faced backlash for reposting a quote on Instagram that claimed, “I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people.” Spears added, “I wish I could have chosen the nannies for my children … my dancers … I mean, if I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers, I would have looked extremely small.”
